FAQ
Can you share the theological background behind these one-pagers? I’d love to make sure the author’s beliefs align with mine before using them to guide my kids.
If you look at TEEN 06 – Key Theology, you’ll find seven core theological tenets: the Bible, the Trinity, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Man/Sin, Salvation, and the Return. I’ve served as a pastor at a non-denominational church in Texas for over 20 years, leading equipping, college, men’s, family, apologetics, and church planting. I also spent 3+ years of study at Dallas Theological Seminary.
Would the author of these one-pagers describe himself as a parenting expert?
Absolutely not! My kids could give you a long list of my parenting mistakes. These one-pagers aren’t based on one person’s ‘expert advice’ but on timeless truths from Scripture. I do sprinkle in a little humor and practical insight, but the focus is always on what the Bible says, not on my personal parenting philosophy.
Once I download the one-pagers, am I allowed to share them with friends and family?
When you purchase a download, you’re welcome to print or display it for personal use, but please don’t modify, share electronically, or resell it. With that said, these one-pagers simply echo timeless biblical truths, and if something you’ve downloaded would really encourage someone else in your life, I’m not going to chase you down over a $2 file. If you find yourself sharing them often, please consider becoming a subscriber to help support the creation of more resources.
What is the origin story of these one-pagers?
When my oldest was still in pull-ups, I created a spreadsheet outlining everything I wanted to teach him before he left home. It didn’t take me long to realize that parenting is far more organic than a checklist. Life doesn’t happen on a spreadsheet! Still, having a plan gave me direction. As my kids entered middle and high school, I found myself returning to that ‘master list’ to guide our conversations. These one-pagers are the fruit of that effort: one dad discovering that discipleship happens in the daily, but it’s still wise to have a plan.
Well, I'm out of questions. Anything you want to tell me?
I can’t begin to express my thankfulness to God for the way He has, and continues to, parent me. Psalm 45:1 perfectly captures why I write: “My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” These one-pagers are simply an overflow of my delight in the lessons I’ve learned from a Good Father through His Word.
